ACHAR

A Malay pickle with cucumber, carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, red and green chillies in a peanut based sauce.  Very good with cold roast Turkey! Traditionally served as an accompaniment with curry.

SPICED CARROT AND PUMPKIN CHUTNEY

Sweet chutney made with carrot and pumpkin and flavoured star anise cinnamon cloves dried chilli and fresh garlic.  Great with cold meats and cheese.

ONION MARMALADE

This really would be a “wake up call” on toast for breakfast!  More suitable as an accompaniment to cold meats and cheese.  I would suggest using this relish rather like a chutney.  Try making appetisers of tiny tartlets filled with onion marmalade and topped with crumbled goat’s cheese.

Summer chutney made with runner beans and flavoured with turmeric, curry and yellow mustard seed

CHILLI JAM

A sweet spiky relish made with tomatoes and fresh red chilli.  Try this as an alternative to ketchup with your sausage or burgers.  Also good with cheese and crackers.  I suppose there’s nothing to stop you having it on your toast for breakfast if you feel so inclined!
